Environmental restoration is most powerful when built through alliance.

Protecting forests, restoring ecosystems, and creating opportunities for communities requires much more than good intentions. It requires committed people, organizations that share a common vision, and the ability to work together to create lasting impact.

With this conviction, in April 2026, the alliance between Saving The Amazon and Caring for Colombia began, a union that seeks to strengthen environmental restoration and community development efforts in different regions of Colombia.

Restoring forests with communities

At Saving The Amazon, we believe that conservation is only possible when communities are protagonists of the process. For this reason, we work hand-in-hand with local families and organizations to protect strategic ecosystems, restore degraded areas, and promote sustainable alternatives that contribute to the well-being of the territories.

Thanks to the support of thousands of people and partners, we have contributed to the planting of more than 713,159 native trees, impacting 54 communities and benefiting more than 895 families.

Each tree planted represents much more than an environmental action. It transforms into an opportunity to strengthen biodiversity, protect water sources, recover soils, and generate benefits for the communities that inhabit these territories.

A bridge to generate impact in Colombia

Since 2003, Caring for Colombia has worked to connect people, organizations, and opportunities to promote social projects throughout the country.

Based in the United States, the organization has built a network of partners committed to Colombia's development for over two decades, creating bridges between donors, organizations, and projects that generate real transformations in the territories.

Throughout its history, Caring for Colombia has supported more than 400 projects, worked with more than 130 organizations, and generated impact in 24 departments of the country, strengthening initiatives related to health, education, arts, culture, community development, and the environment.

A shared vision to generate a broader impact

The alliance between Saving The Amazon and Caring for Colombia arises from a shared vision: to generate positive and sustainable transformations for people and ecosystems.

While Caring for Colombia connects partners and opportunities to promote social impact initiatives, Saving The Amazon contributes its experience in environmental restoration, conservation, and community work.

This union represents an opportunity to connect efforts between the United States and Colombia, strengthening projects that promote ecosystem protection, work with communities, and the construction of a more sustainable future.

Beyond the results that can be achieved, this alliance seeks to expand opportunities for collaboration and strengthen a network of people and organizations committed to the well-being of the territories.

Sowing the future

The environmental and social challenges we face today require collective action.

For this reason, we believe that every alliance is also an opportunity to connect knowledge, experiences, and resources that allow for lasting impact.

Today we celebrate the beginning of this journey with Caring for Colombia, convinced that when organizations unite around a common purpose, it is possible to go further and generate transformations that benefit both people and nature.

Because restoring a forest also means strengthening communities, creating opportunities, and sowing a more resilient future.
